Town Select Board writes a meaningless, irrelevant letter to King, Collins, Pingree, and Poliquin.

"I write on behalf of the Town Select Board, to ask for your help developing better communication between our local fishing associations and the Dept of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management."  So begins the letter sent by Richard Bates after the Town Select Board voted 5-0 in favor of the following motion on December 11:  that the Select Board take a sentiment vote on opposition, in totality, to the Maine Aqua Ventus project, unless the fishing community in St. George is satisfied that Maine Aqua Ventus has addressed their concerns.

Communications is not the problem. The fishing community here in St. George is speaking very clearly and not being heard.
